Sholano Gale Evan's character- Gnomish Jack-of-all-Trades Rogue. Member of the resistance. Wendle's nephew. Has been being groomed to replace Wendle. Knows Darrel, Fenrir and Berodin. Knife thrower. Played by Carey Elways

 

 

Aiden, Ethan's character- Erenlander Seer Channeler. Darrel's' brother. 18 years old. Heir to the throne of Erenland. Keeper of an ancient book. Recently discovered his connection with the Witch Queen. Played by Justin Long

 

Woden, son of Woden, Kit's character. Haunted Dwarven Martial. Inherited his fallen brother's legacy. Bears the Axe and Helm of the Thanes of Durgis. Having trouble with the pressure that has just been put on him.

 

 

Altus, Brian's character. Agent of Thomas Baden sent to recover the heir to the throne of Erenland. Had his body magically changed to look like Darrel and had the majority of his personality suppressed to allow Darrel's spirit to reside within him. After returning to Baden's Bluff, the suppression wore off and Darrel's spirit was released. Unfortunately, one of the side effects of the suppression enchantment seems to be a dependance on the proximity of Darrel's spirit in order to stay alive. Played by Nathan Fillion

 

 

Fenrir Sam's character- Sarcosan Tactician Wildlander. Freerider. Berodin is his adopted brother. Forced to kill his horse, Fixius, in a cave near Durgis Rock. Occasionally cannibalistic. Now has an Giant Eagle named Faust and is a member of the ranks of the Sky Knights of Caradul. Played by Sendhil Ramamurthy.

 

 

Berodin Michael's character- Ironborn Dorn Barbarian. 20 years old. Mother was part of the resistance. Was captured and broken. He was smuggled out and given to a group of sarcosans. He was 9. Fenrir's family took him in. When he grew too large to ride comfortably and too large to feed easily (about 15), he was taken to Durgis Rock and taken in by the Dwarves. He became a ward of the Dorthane, Woden Durgis, and became a "brother" of Kit's. Played by Mariusz Pudzianowski

Wendle Gale- Gnomish smuggler. Sharp tongued, talkaholic know-it-all. Stayed on the river to try to find the remenants of the Gale family. Is not happy with Shalono. Played by Bob Hoskins

 

 

Horace Highcloud Gnomish captain, smuggler. Gruff and buisnesslike. Played by Dustin Hoffman.

 

 

Star Dwarrow Defender, shaved head and face. Crafty and resourceful member of the resistance specializing in freeing halfling slaves. Played by Ryan Renolds.

Dunken son of Kallon- Cantankerous Dwarven hunter. Talks little, likes his solitude. Has a soft spot for children and has taken a liking to Hrothgar and Berodin. Played by Michael Chiklis. Theme is "The Patient" by Tool.

 

 

Korsun son of Gredon -Scout from Kalador, he and Dunkun have become fast friends. He's not really sure what his King's plans are, but serves with zeal and hope. Carries a very large crossbow.

 

 

Golan son of Thedron- Heir to the throne of Pardrum holdfast. Very charismatic dwarf. Rescued by the party in the tunnels deep in the Kaladrun mountains. Played by Matt Damon.

 

 

Calia daughter of Gelia Young scout from Pradrum Holdfast. Very adept in tunnels. Quite enamored with Hrothgar. Played by Rachel Lee Cook

 

 

Ambassador Brolan son of Brolan- Respected Loremaster. Calador's Ambassador to the sea elves. Called the Storm Council. Cousin of Kan'Dor Thedron XIII. Very traditional. Opposes Thedron's plan, but does his job anyway.

 

 

Zukar, son of Dagar- Called "Zuk". Master dwarven engineer. Leads a team of 15 dwarven craftsman. Very distrustful of outsiders. Thinks that the Kurgun are bordering on being traitors.

 

 

Digger- Dagar, son of Zukar. Zuk's son, and foreman. A bit less antagonistic than his father. A natural leader.

 

 

Rigger- Ragar, son of Zukar. Zuk's other son. Rigging master. Quiet.

 

 

Brace - Braas, son of Zukar. Zuk's youngest son. Master Carpenter. Gruff, efficient.

 

 

 

Halflings

 

 

Lara Halfling Spiritual Channeler. Helps educate and prepare former slaves during thier time on the Ghost Raft. Tried and failed to cure party of the mirror's poison.

 

 

 

Elves

 

 

Verador- Focused and determined Erunsil warrior with a talent for magic. Has a snowy eagle familiar and a white wolf companion. Zealously devoted to his queen. Played by Christian Bale

 

 

Gwehir- Danisil Warg Wildlander, Captain of the Sky Knights of Caradul, daredevil, likes purple. His giant eagle, Gwethorn, is truly a legendary specimen.

 

 

Lord Leifan - Snow Elf general in charge of the forces along the burning line. Is trying to rebuild his infrastructure after an assault by the Dragon, Zardrix, left the majority of his commanders dead and his forces demoralized. The party's successful raid has bought him the time he needs, but the impending assault by a new weapon has him very worried. Wields a double ended spear with Erunsil Fighting Knives for blades, which also breaks into a pair of sorter spears for more confined combat. Played by Paul Walker

 

 

Ketrillo - Female Miransil captain. Graceful and spunky. Daredevil Pirate. Captain of the Baalu's Grace. Played by Kira Knightly

 

 

Sava - Male Miransil. 1st mate of the Baalu's Grace. Has ring shaped scars covering most of his body. (giant octopus). Played by James Franco.

 

 

The Witch Queen Aradil, the immortal queen of the elves. Her theme is "Fallen" by Sara McLaughlan

Sardric - Orcish turncoat. Saved by Kahz, helped rescue a band of halflings from his former company of slavers. Taken in by them, learned the art of Dreamwalking and now leads a small band of Orc traitors. Dreamed of an Orc female in white who he believes may be a spirit from before the sundering. Displays signs of both religious zealotry and love where she is concerned. Played by DMX. Theme is "I Do Not Want This" by Nine Inch nails.

The Book Aiden's book. He says it writes back to him in gold ink, but only he can see it. It is a heavy, thick tome bound in leather which was once white and with metal that once gleamed. It is so old that the leather has stained brown and black and the metal has tarnished to a dull grey. A large strange symbol is embossed on the face. It's meaning yet to be revealed. Aiden has claimed that the book has told him that the world, everyone in it, and every event he experiences is actually a dream brought on by an elaborate curse. It's theme is "Pet" by Perfect Circle.

Loradania -Wood Elf Channeler, slain by Cara's lightning after the Raid at the Burning Line.

 

 

Worthing -Wood Elf Channeler, slain by a combination of Wyvern poison and choking ash as the party tried to cross the burning line.

 

 

Woden Durgis- Dorthane of Durgis Rock. Died defending the door to the Hall of Ancestors. His spirit now possesses a collective of Dwarven spirits animating the flaming bones of those who fell at Durgis Rock.

 

 

 

The Spirits

 

Hrothgar Durgis Son of Woden Kit's former character- Juggernaut Dwarf Fighter. Son of Dorthane Woden Durgis. Berodin is his adopted brother. Played by Bill Goldberg. Has proclaimed himself Dorthane of Clan Durgis and Reclaimed his ancestral home at teh cost of the council of his ancester and most of his spirits. He has growing necromantic powers, though he is having trouble dealing with the path of magic. He also realises that his peple's ways are forcing them to extinction, and now he may have to break the rules to give them another fighting chance. Yet again he finds himself on an impossible mission/trek, but he has at least learned his brother is alive.

 

Durgis the First- Hrothgar's ancestor. Long dead, judgmental and cynical. Only visible to Hrothgar. Played by Stacy Keech

 

 

Badel son of Rogar- Golan's 2nd in command. Slain outside Pardrum Holdfast. Still coming to grips with his death. Only visible to Hrothgar. Played by Sean Astin

 

 

Kelev Son of Fegrol- Decapitated on the Pardrum wall. Thinks he's hallucinating from a head injury. Only visible to Hrothgar. Played by Luis Guzman

 

 

Nylec Fischer- Erenlander fisherman kept alive by the crazed legate of Redwinde. Pragmatic, but easily confused. Visible only to Hrothgar.

 

 

Astegar- Crazed Legate of Redwinde, Now a bitter, angry spirit. Beginning to have questions about the nature of his god.

 

 

Darrel Travis's character- Quickened Erenlander Rogue. Aiden's brother. 27 years old. Made his way to Baden's Bluff to join the Resistance after hearing Grandfather's stories. Went to Baden's Bluff and joined the Avenging Knives. Worked with Berodin's mother. After she was captured, he aranged passage on a Gale family boat (where Sholano was a crewman) but was captured and brought back to the city. Died during a rescue attempt. Now is spiritually tied to his skull which is carried by Darrow. Played by Nathan Fillion.

 

Jael The Hunter- Servant of the Master in Grey. So far seen only at a distance, and referanced to Kahz by a large orc squad leader. Killed by the party near the burning line after impersonating Xein. Seen recently in the Bodrun area with a metal face mask of some kind. Seems to be less dead than he should be. Defeated in the tunnel near Calador. Now his spirit is locked inside Darrel's skull. Theme is "Killing The Fly" by Union Underground. Played by Ben Browder.  

 

 

Enemies:

 

 

The Master in Grey- Powerful Legate of the Order of Obsidian, Former owner of Xein. Wears gray robes and a grey faceless mask. All the members of his order wear the same outfit. Concerns himself mostly with he acquisition and discovery of nexuses and lost magic items. Played by Lance Heinrickson

 

 

The Grey Apprentice- Wears a grey facemask and black robes, as well as an obsidion crown. Seen heading a force of 10 legates moving toward the burning line.

 

 

 

Jael's Hunters

 

Sister Merci- A Sister of Tender Mercies. Rides with Jael.

 

The Grey Witcher- A witch hunter who wears a grey face mask and clothes. Rides with Jael.

 

The Grey Watcher- A follower of the Master in Grey. Rides with Jael. Carries a black staff.

 

Vareks- Poison Spear Slave Taker. Wildlander specialized in hunting Halflings. His lips and nose have been removed, and the pinky-finger bones of the slaves he has taken are implanted beneath the skin of his face and chest. Has escaped from the party twice. Now rides with Jael. Theme song is "My Plague" by Slipknot.

 

 

 

Rhiann- Elven messanger. Black eyes. Died at Durgis Rock. Animated by the Grey Aprentice. Seems to have vestiges of her former self inside her. Last seen windwalking away from the Golemworks. Played by Liv Tyler

 

 

Bayal- Pale elven archer. Grim and quiet. Last seen at the Golemworks. Was something of a mentor to Xein.

 

 

Aarein- Wood Elf swordsman. Loved Rhiann. Darrel now carries his shortsword. Last seen at the Golemworks.

 

 

Cara- Berodin's Mother. Captured and turned, then rescued. Killed her rescuers and vanished. Responsable for the death or capture of Darrel's entire insurgent cell in Baden's Bluff, and the massacre of the Gale family. Showed up at the Burning Line after the party raided a Shadow encampment. Seemed to summon fog and smoke, vanished and reappeared like a ghost, threw lightning and wielded dark grey swords which seemed to drain a person's vitality. Retreated when she saw Berodin. Returned and attacked the pursuing orks, repudedly slaying over 100 of them before they could retreat. Played by Milla Jovovitch. Her theme is "Ice Queen" by Within Temptation.

 

 

Reggie Swift Water- One of Xein and Cara's rescuers, Garrion's right hand man, Darrel's main outsider contact. Died after rescuing Cara and Xein. Has been romoured to be still alive (or undead) and aiding Cara's terrible crusade. Seen heading a raft coming out of the Ardune which was bearing an enormous Icewood tree west toward the burning line. Played by Seth Green.

 

 

 

The Gray Razor Commandos

 

Flying Grey Masked Purple Lightsaber-thrower- Dark cloak, enameled black and grey heavy armor,  Last seen flying away from Blindfork Spire

 

Grey Mask Sword Legates- Dark cloak, enameled black and grey heavy armor, longswords and shields, powerful astirax's (both dead). Last seen windwalking away from Blindfork spire

 

The Darth Maul Twins- Black jedi clothes, dark skin, white tribal tattoos. last seen flying away from Blindfork spire

 

Winged, 4 eyed Razor Spine Oruk- seemingly immune to lightning. last seen flying away from Blindfork Spire.

 

 

 

 

The Lord of the Bladed Ring- Legate allied with the Master in Grey. Seems to have his hands in military affairs. His followers are adept at using ritual magic to change the tide of battle.

 

The Bladed Apprentice - A powerful Soldier Legate. Well versed in ritual magic.

 

Brother Donovan- The Witch Hunter who crucified Aiden and Darrel's grandfather at Hornblower's Hill. He seems to be searching for something or someone. The party has seen evidence of his work at another village called Hornblower's Rest. He is a large, bald Erenlander who wears a wide brimmed hat and a long black coat. His theme is "Ashes to Ashes" by Damage Plan.

 

 

Zale- A swordsman who rides with Brother Donovan. Rakishly thin, carries a short, hiltless, double-edged blade of an odd design. (like a chinese broadsword) it looks like it has been blackened by fire, or stained with soot. He has short dark hair and a thin Gotee. He wears a jacket with only one sleeve, keeping his right arm free at all times. His theme is "One" by Metallica.

 

 

The Redwinde Inquisitors

 

Benjamin Castor- "Black Ben" Captain of the Redwinde Temple Guard. Badly burned by being thrown into a fire by Hrothgar. Fell. Played by Russel Crowe

 

Large Orc Squad Leader- Blood Mother Blade Warden. Very short mohawk, left side of his body covered in tattoos. Extremely large for an Orc. Played by Kevin Nash

 

The White Masked Giant- Over 12 feet tall. Carries a large blackened, iron-bound tree trunk. Played by Tyler Mane

 

The Sword-Brother- Wears a black cassock without sleeves. Carries a heavy, broad-bladed iron sword. Played by Ray Park

 

The Dreadguard- Wears fully encompassing heavy plate armor. Carries a tower shield and wields a halberd with one hand.

 

 

 

Others

 

 

Grial's Apprentice- An Iron Mother Orc of unusual cunning and intellect. Seems to have a git for numbers and an eye for efficiency. An orc posing as him was killed by the party during a raid on his siege encampment. He has most recently been seen near Factendom. Played by Terry Crews

 

 

The Hungry Flame- The fire demon, defeated by Sholano on the burning line. When last seen he was bodiless, but headed toward an orcish encampment. It's theme is "Firestarter" by Prodigy.

 

 

 Legends

 

 

The Maleficarum- Legendary witch hunter. The erenlander equivilant to the boogyman. He is said to be able to sense whether or not a person can read, and those that can will find the stories of thier deaths written into the swirling runes on his skin. Played by Jason Stathem

 

 

The Sword of the Shadow.- Jazhir, King of Erenland. Seen once in the Pass of the Eagles moving north with his army. His theme is "King Nothing" by Metallica.

 

 

The Priest of The Shadow- Sunulael,Master of the Order of Obsidian, He Who Speaks With The Voice Of God. Never seen, only whispered of. His theme is "Enter Sandman" by Metallica.

 

 

The Sorcerer of Shadow- Unseen in 100 years, his name is unknown, his gaze sees all, his plots run twisted and deep. His theme is "You Know My Name" by Chris Cornell.

 

 

The Wrath of the Shadow- Zardrix. Undisputedly the most powerful creature in existence.
